High-speed rail company Brightline is making it easier for groups to plan a south Florida escape this President’s Day holiday weekend with a sale that has one-way tickets as low as $39.
The sale offers groups of at least three travelers or more half-off “Smart” tickets to or from Orlando, the company shared with Travel + Leisure. The sale, which must be booked by Feb. 19, is valid on travel between Feb. 20 and March 31.
“Grab two travel buddies and explore Florida,” Brightline wrote as part of the promotion. “Whether you’re traveling to Orlando as a family or planning a getaway to South Florida for your friends, the train is the most comfortable and convenient way to get there.”
To take advantage, the booking must include Orlando as either the origin or destination city.
The rail company first launched in 2018 with service between West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami, but has since expanded, adding service to Aventura and Boca Raton. The company also opened its new route between Miami and Orlando late last year. The ride between the two cities takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Travelers can choose between “Smart” or “Premium” fares, the latter which includes added perks like a dedicated lounge at the departure station, priority boarding, checked luggage, and complimentary snacks and beverages. All Brightline trains come with complimentary onboard Wi-Fi.
Brightline also offers several multi-use passes like the All-Station Shared Pass, which comes with access to each of Brightline’s stations, including Orlando; and the SoFlo Solo Pass, which includes access to south Florida stations.
Beyond Florida, the company is starting work in southern California to create a rail corridor connecting the state with Las Vegas. The project, called Brightline West, will eventually connect Sin City with the Los Angeles area over 218-miles complete with speeds up to 200 mph.
